For years I was stuck in overwhelm, frustration and burn out. I was working in a corporate job that weighed heavy and on top of that I had lost my spark for art and life. I kept thinking I needed to know what style of art to create, and have the 'how' figured out before I even attempted to paint anything. How can I quit this soul draining job and make my art? Should I be doing pet portraits? How do I change my life? What if it's too late?

All these questions and ruminating left me overwhelmed, frozen and stuck in a fearful mindset. It was an awful cycle of self-doubt, procrastination and it lasted years. I got to a point of losing myself, my spark and joy after 3 years of not creating anything. I was at an all time low in my life.

Turning 30, I decided it was time to create again (as I was thoroughly miserable without art in my life). But this time I approached my art with a different attitude. I took the pressure off myself and decided I was going to create for the pure joy of the experience.

I learned how to tap into my intuition as a compass for my art making, and I honed my creative process. Having a routine and art process you can rely on and repeat, even when you're not at your best is so important to keep creative, with ease, joy and purpose.

It's been 10 years since this turnaround, and in that time I have:

- Become a full-time professional artist

- Gained Gallery representation

- Exhibitied in New York, London, Milan

- Sold artwork at Art Fairs

- Completed several commissions from customers
