On Shaky Ground – Original Framed Monoprint

Inspired by the wild, untamed beauty of Derek Jarman’s garden, On Shaky Ground explores moments of uncertainty, contemplation and quiet reflection. With its delicate layers and subtle, mist-like forms, the print evokes a coastal landscape softened by sea mist, where the familiar becomes indistinct and the mind is free to wander.

There is a wistful quality to this piece, capturing that quiet moment when we find ourselves weighing possibilities, gathering our thoughts and standing at the edge of a decision. Like the shifting landscape, our thoughts and feelings are never quite fixed, moving gently between clarity and uncertainty.

This original handprinted monoprint is created by drawing directly onto an inked plate using a variety of mark-making tools. The spontaneous process produces delicate textures, atmospheric marks and subtle variations, making every impression entirely unique.

Printed onto white card and presented in a natural wood-effect black frame, this one-of-a-kind artwork invites a moment of stillness and reflection.

    Shipping, delivery and returns info

    Delivery times

The average UK delivery time is 5-7 working days from the date of purchase.

All Giclée fine art paper prints are printed on demand, quality checked and hand signed by me before they are posted.

Ink paintings are ready to send immediately, and will be packaged in a stiff cardboard envelope as these cannot be rolled.

All original paintings are sealed with beeswax (protective soft sheen layer) and ready to hang. You can expect an original painting to take 7-10 working days to arrive upon ordering (within UK).

International orders depend on your location. Generally speaking, EU takes around a week to arrive, and any location beyond this takes 7-21 days.

Large (over 60cm length) original oil paintings on canvas sent for international delivery will be removed from their frame and rolled in a tube to avoid damage. These can be easily stretched with assistance from a local framer on receiving the artwork.

Once you place your order you'll receive more detailed delivery information with tracking details.

    Returns policy - refunds

You have 30 days to return an item after purchasing to request a refund. It must be in its original packaging and the same condition you received it to be eligible for a refund. Please contact me as soon as possible to start the returns process and I will advise on how to return the item.

The refund process usually takes 7-21 business days, to process the returned item and complete your refund. The refund will be issued to the same payment method you made the purchase under.

    Damages and delivery issues

Sadly, occasionally problems can occur outside my control, postage issues and damage can happen. Should you have any issues contact me immediately and I'll do all I can to help.
